On October 18, 2020, 1981 THE CONCERT lost its founding member Jason Elsenheimer to brain cancer. He was only 51 years old. Jason battled this horrible disease for nearly 5 years before losing the fight. Jason was truly one of the most amazing human beings that I have ever had the privilege of knowing and I was blessed for being able to call him a friend for nearly 40 years. He was my brother. We made a lot of great music together and had a lot of great times together. He is absolutely irreplaceable in my life and in the lives of so many of us. All of our lives are better off for having had Jason in it, even though it was for way too short a time. To say that Jason will be missed, is truly an understatement. He leaves a huge hole in the world that can never be filled. I hope that he is finally at peace. God bless Jason, God Bless the Elsenheimer family and God Bless the Detroit Lions.
